Meet my Roommates...please :)

While living here in Kona, Hawai'i I live in a dorm room with 7 other beautiful, wonderful woman of God...who all have their own unique gifts and talents...and personalities. I love them all and would like to introduce you to them...

My wonderful roommates and I!! All 8 of us! :) Aren't we just beautiful? :)

Let me begin with Gabby my "bunk mate" who sleeps on the bunk below me. Gabby  (or G as I call her) is from the island Kuai, on the islands in Hawai'i and is a quite, strong woman of God who is always wanting to know more and more of God and who He is. She is constantly asking questions concerning Him, and is the first to jump forward to pray. She displays the gracefulness of God in every move and action. I love her so much and can't wait to get to know her more in the next couple of months. :)

Gabby and I before volunteering at the Ironman!

Next is Amber who is on the top bunk when first entering our room...Amber, who is from Alabama, is a gentle, considerate woman of God who, in the past couple of days, has begun to display a slightly sarcastic sense of humor. She loves throw out a comment when you least expect it that will make you smile...her hunger to know God more and grow closer to Him is evident when she talks about Him and worships Him. She has wisdom of Him and His word beyond her years and just longs to please Him. I love her and can't wait to get to know her more! :)

Living below Amber is Madisen....Ohhhhhh Madisen. Our room would not be the same without her. Coming from Canada, Madisen is a gorgeous, confident woman of God who knows who she is in Him. She is very open and is quick to encourage me when I'm having a bad day. She displays her gift of discernment in telling people who they are in Christ and building them up...as well as making them smile. Sometimes when I'm having a bad day her goofy smile or random sense of humor will cheer me up and the other girls in the room as well. I love her so much and can't wait to get to know her more! :)

Madison enjoying a mango in the morning! :)

Next to Amber and Madisen is Amy. Amy, Amy, Ammmmmy.......is from Washington and brings joy and laughter to our little room. Her sarcastic humor and different voices she uses when talking make me laugh daily....I cannot imagine the room without her. Amy is extremely gifted in music both with her voice and guitar. I love listening to her play and sing. We had an open mic night here on campus that all of us roommates convinced her to participate in...to which she did...to which she played and sang a song that she wrote and everyone loved it. I am inspired by her desire to know God more and more....to worship Him with everything she has. When she writes music or plays it is to honor Him and i greatly admire that in her. Love her and am looking forward to the next couple of months. :)

Amy...being herself in Wal-mart. :)

Sleeping below Amy is our quiet spirited, beautiful Staci. Staci represents the state of California. This wonderful, passionate woman of God makes me desire to know Him more and more. She displays an ever open mind and heart to the ways of the Lord, and is always wanting to know any and every story that relates to His goodness. Whenever I come back from class or whatever, she is eager to know what I've learned or what God is doing. She challenges me to spend more time with the Lord. Whenever Staci has a spare moment, she uses it to get to know Him more by spending time in the word, praying or worshiping Him. I'm excited to spend the next couple of months with her. :)

Beautiful Staci with the sunset behind her. :)

To left of me on the top bunk is beautiful Kathryn from Texas. Kathryn and I share a wonderful similarity in our sarcastic humor. What I don't say she does, and visa-versa. I love it. Kathryn can be quite most of the time but strong in her beliefs. She is very considerate and will be the first to notice if someone is upset...and quick to comfort and affirm. She is also very random and spontaneous which I love.  The way she is so eager to know God and is willing to let Him change her challenges me to also be this open and let Him change me. I love spending time with her and can't wait to spend the next couple of months with her! :)

Kathryn and I dancing... :)

Last, but certainly not least, is Rachael. Rachael is from Canada and has 10 siblings...needless to say  she and I share several similarities and can relate to a lot of things. Rachael has a quite overall spirit about her and is very observant. I was quick to learn though, that she is not predictable I never know what she's going to say or do...we have a lot of fun together. Her constant commitment to spending time with the Lord and wanting to please Him the most is such a blessing to observe and aspire to be like. I love her sense of adventure and willingness to try new and crazy things. She'll always say yes to doing new things. I love her and am looking forward to the next couple of months with her!
